Physicianday.com- Custom Wordpress Site/Theme
This is a site that features a custom responsive theme that I developed from the ground up for http://physicianday.com/ with design work done by a regular partner, Ricky Brandano. I developed the theme for this site with ease of use, and mobile viewing as the primary objectives. As the design was already created, I then had to find the best way to create a responsive theme framework that transitioned well to mobile. After experimenting with idea of using a pre-made responsive framework such as Bootstrap or Foundation, I decided in order to keep the integrity of the design in place, I would custom code CSS Media Queries to create breakpoints for different aspects of the site to transition to mobile. This allowed the design to stay as is, and let different elements transition to mobile separately from other elements. I feel this created a very lightweight site with fast load times, and compatibility across a wide range of browsers and devices.
