Currently I am working as an editor, with Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, EDITING, TYPING, WRITING, CORRECTING, MAKING SOFTCOPY of the monthly agazine and weekly e-newsletters and working for their website matter. The work involves writing, editing, correcting soft copy, searching/writing all relevant material. I am involved with doing a variety of jobs like Typing, Composing, Formatting, (Online & paper based) Proofreading, Editing, Writing, Pre-press process, working with negatives/ positives etc. I have been associated with many publishing companies doing varieties of job assignments. The text so handled is from vast areas. It included Seminars, books, textbooks, novels, researches etc related to various streams of Sciences, Legal, Management, Technologies, Computers, English etc. The organisation so dealt with included IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), IIMs (Indian Institute of Management), various National Research Institutes, School & College Books, independent research articles and variety of other assignments. These include, writing, editing, proofreading, formatting, composing, making Illustrations, doing extensive correspondence with associated publishing industries etc. I have got a very good exposure to complete process of book making, ie from pre-press, book matter, its complete printing, delivery and sales process.
