I love writing more than food, sex, and Disneyland...combined! To me, writing seems as normal, natural, and essential as breathing; and, if I am not writing every day, surely I am slowly suffocating. I have more than a million words out there on the web, and I happily will add a million more as I go to work for you. Once upon a time I attended graduate school at Berkeley, studying literature and learning the tools and techniques scholars use to "negotiate the meaning" of our semi-sacred texts. Although grad school finally taught me to read the whole book...and all the criticism,too; it also did a lot more to harm my writing than it ever did to help it. Now, freed from the cloister, liberated from the academy, kicked-out of the cabal, I have begun to recover my own vision, voice, and heart.
