Caveat: This is written by a blues lover for other blues lovers. Don’t expect objectivity and honest critique in this piece. All that went out the window when Warren Mendoza started playing a black Strat. But if you want to read about a second by second commentary on the exact motions of Susan Tedeschi’s larynx for over two hours, boy have you come to the right place.\n\nAlso, you might need therapy.\n\nThe bands playing last night were Blackstratblues, Zac Harmon and the Tedeschi-Trucks band. I will break them up into easy paragraphs filled with words like bluesplosion and bluesgasm and blueth-takingly bluelliant.\n\nBlackstratblues is chief proof that there can be poetry without words.
