Created this website for a group of people who run a gaming group. The project involved dynamically embedding YouTube videos, CSS3/HTML5 with fallbacks to CSS2 and HTML4, grabbing feeds from YouTube and Facebook and combining them into one timeline feed in chronological order (involved PHP and jQuery), and graphic design. There's also a microsite within it for a Minecraft server they run, which includes a signup page which then queries a Java plugin I made for the Minecraft server and whitelists them ingame. Also there's a store. That banner part with the letters, for example, is a video which changes based on what page you're on. It also has a flash fallback and then an image fallback. If you click a YouTube link, the page is scrolled back up to this element and it changes to the YouTube video. That's just an example of some thought that went into making the site. It's not all about that banner, I just picked one element and talked about it... Anyway yeah, that's a site I
About Me
Hi there! I'm based in Warwickshire, UK and have more than 7 years experience with HTML, Flash, and After Effects. I've kept up to date with new technologies like HTML5 and CSS3, but I'm still aware of older browsers and always aim to have fallbacks in place for support back to Internet Explorer 6. I like to think I'm pretty good with PHP and Java too, and I'm always willing to learn new things - Programming and designing for screen is what I do for fun, too!
