MOON & STAR PHOTOGRAPHY has been in business since 1983 starting in partnership with a graphic arts studio. We are photographers with a passion for our work. We have education and training in photography, but you also need drive, heart, love of photography, and use a combination of light and art to get truly exceptional images. As photographer Peter Adams once stated, "Photography is not about cameras, gadgets and gismos. Photography is about photographers. A camera didn't make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel." So while you may have a relative or friend with a nice new camera, buying a camera doesn't make you a photographer, it makes you a camera owner. You can buy the typewriter Hemingway used but it doesn't mean it will produce a novel for whoever owns it. If you look at most of the photographic chain studios, when they advertise for "photographers," they ask for experienced sales persons not someone with experience in photography. They are basically manned photo booths like you see in the mall. They are "salesographers." We are photographers.
