I graduated from the University of Akron (Ohio) in 2000. While a student, I was an intern with the Univeristy's Publications Department, and I started my official training in the world of graphic design. Since graduating I have worked in different areas of the design field. I am at home in either the PC or Mac world. I have experience in newspaper ad layout, catalog layout and weekly mailer layouts. I have designed logos and branding schemes, and even worked with molded plastic. My involvement in these areas is from conception to completion. My current position has given me the experience in concepting, creating and laying out children's board books. Even from my start as an intern I have managed my own jobs and determined what job took priority over another. I am very good at balancing multiple projects while maintaining tight deadlines. In the past I have created schedules for others and myself to follow in order to complete a project on time. I have worked in many environments from large teams, involving many different departments, to just myself. I am a highly motivated, highly organized, self-starter and am looking to broaden my horizons. I am capable of coming into any situation, looking at it, and determining the best way to handle it.
