Gilgia: A Decorative Typeface
The name of Gilgia hints the posibble fusion between Gill Sans and Georgia.\n\nGilgia has the feature of prominent characteristics between Gill Sans and Georgia. Gill Sans has a distinct classic and elegant sans serif font characteristics with the infamous perfect circle ‘O’ and geometric build. While Georgia offer outstanding legibility and readability with large x-heights, open counters, and especially the high contrast between the regular and bold weights.\n\nGilgia is created by combining the geometric structure of Gill Sans and Georgia’s contrast with a bit tweaking on the serif. The serif is highly inspired by the point on the top of circus tent. It really gives a distinction and gives a really circus-y vibes.
