WVEA 150TH ANNIVERSARY Logo Design
During the 2015-2016 school year, the West Virginia Education Association celebrated their 150th anniversary. The logo shown here was designed and used for all print materials throughout the year. The WVEA, headquartered in Charleston, WV, has resided at its current location since 1955. The building, constructed for the sole purpose of being the WVEA headquarters, displays a relief carving of a torch over its front doors. The torch is symbolic of education in that it represents enlightenment through learning.
About Me
I earned my BFA in Graphic Design from Marietta College in 2012. I currently work as the in-house designer for the West Virginia Education Association. You can see some of the work that I have done for the WVEA on my website, melaniejboyd.com. I also work as a freelance designer in print and web design. I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Muse.
