Bird Water: Appalachian Foothills by award-winning photographer Matt Zeigler captures the aquatic behavior of ducks and land birds at eastern Alabama’s Lake Mitchell. The author presents 85 full-color images of the Drake Mallard, Wild Peking and Black Muscovy ducks as they interact at Lake Mitchell; nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In addition to waterfowl the author features land birds, the American Robin and Cedar Waxwing, as they fly, bathe, drink and watch for predators in aquatic environments.

About Me

Matt Zeigler began his career as a sportswriter and photojournalist in the newspaper industry before publishing several books in the sports, wildlife and military genres.
