Matt Zeigler tells a part-true sci-fi tale of his voluntary abduction into the U.S. Marine Corps. More than any organization on Earth, U.S. Marines are alien in both thoughts and actions. Zeigler recounts in vivid details how he was transformed from a high school jock into a trained killer. From mental/physical torture by his Drill Instructors at Parris Island, to infantry indoctrination at the toxic wasteland of Camp Lejeune, to outer-limit experiences in the Western Pacific, Zeigler became alienated from human society.

Matt Zeigler began his career as a sportswriter and photojournalist in the newspaper industry before publishing several books in the sports, wildlife and military genres.
