Magazine Spread: Artist exposition
This was a magazine spread created for an article on artist Niels Shoe, an artist who hand paints calligraphy on the streets. I created a brush from a hand made paint splatter to lead the eye through white space to the beginning of the article. Further paint drips bring the eye through the text and down into the photo. I used white space to lead the eye and also create a stark contrast of cleanliness and chaotic, artistic energy like the work of the artist. The design was created entirely in Adobe Photoshop, except for the body of type which was laid out in InDesign. It was an extremely fun project to work on!
