This ecommerce store has been set up to sell ready made crochet and knit jewellery and kits that customers can use to make their own. It has been built on WordPress with WooCommerce, incorporating the WPML plugin for future mutli-lingual pages and sales in a range of currencies. In anticipation of EU plans to extend the cross-border VAT rules that apply to digital sales to the sale of physical goods in 2016, the site tracks and saves customer location information, with a self-certification option, to ensure it is compliant when/if the legislation is rolled out. Adaptations have been made to WooCommerce to allow admins to create kits made up of other products and also to allow customers to pick their own combination of colours. A custom colour picker has been specifically implemented to simple process with the customer virtually painting their products before adding them to the cart. The responsiveness of the design sees it adapt layout for various screen sizes.
