A client asked me to produce a script to manage various aspects of configuring virtual hosts on his virtual server. As he was already familiar with some PHP, I completed the project in the CLI environment of that language rather than a traditional shell script. Now he can create and edit virtual host settings on his Apache server using a series of pre-written templates and doesn't need to get bogged down with complicated server configuration tasks.
