Most of the work I have done has been proprietary, belonging to the companies I worked for. The following are websites I have built that are accessible by the public: [login to view URL] - Community Web-Zine that I designed, coded, and built from scratch. Technologies used: XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX. I used this same technology in all my projects, including those below. I do everything that is needed to get a web site up and running. Both front-end and back. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] I like design. I enjoy it. I celebrate it. I look for opportunities to practice good design principles. Contrast. Repetition. Alignment. Proximity. Text. Color. Graphics. Mood. I have a working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization techniques to include preparing pages and the overall site for optimal search, an ability to act independently under the supervision and direction of the Project Leader. Finally, my strong organizational and follow-through skills, ability to meet deadlines and dependability in attendance, tardiness and timely performance of duties all qualify me for this position Programming: XHTML, HTML, JavaScript, VB Script, CSS. Hand-coding expert, SQL, ASP, PHP, C, HTML, Visual Basic, JavaScript, VB Script I like using technology to its fullest potential in designing user interfaces for web based applications using proficient web production skills (image optimization, cropping, and slicing) I try to make sure that my code is standards compliant, and follows good programming practices. Often times, it seems easier to use shortcuts to achieve results, but in the end, one runs into problems doing that. An example would be to make layouts with tables instead of pure CSS. The resulting site will not be forward compatible, and will fail in next-generation browsers. I also do not try and use “hacks” to achieve solutions. If I have to do that, then I am not really coding to standard practices. I would rather spend time making sure my code can work properly, rather than taking shortcuts again. I am also an expert on navigation, usability, clean uncluttered styles, and trying to give the user the best experience possible. Extensive Content Management Systems (CMS) experience (Text pattern, PHP-Nuke, Drupal, EZ etc) Working with CMS on the back-end programming with PHP and MySQL to create a dynamic data-driven site integrating a database. In addition, I have a lot of creativity, high energy and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. And I love sharing knowledge so that others can benefit from it.
