'Religious Propaganda' 2016

Acrylic marker and watercolour on mount board. A merging of all world religions on connection to science fiction ideas on the origins of religion e.g. the ancient astronaut theory as popularised by Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Erik Von Daniken. The image portrays the idea that religious icons such as the Virgin Mary from Christianity and the goddess Khali from Hinduism share similar descriptive traits from each religion's holy texts, and plays on the question; are they one and the same being?
