I've got a Computer Science & Statistics master degree and I have worked as a BI and CRM consultant and project manager at Accenture. During this experience, I also worked as freelancer web developer. Recently I changed my professional life direction becoming exclusively an entrepreneur and a Ruby on Rails web developer.

I developed a web store using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL technologies and hosted it on Heroku. Besides the common features of an online store, it has an affiliate program, inventory control, integration with third part payment system and other services.

Improving 2D mesh image segmentation with Markov Random Fields
Sibgrap
A novel segmentation method that combines the original Imesh image-based segmentation approach with Markov Random Field (MRF) models. It takes an image as input, generate a mesh of triangles and, by treating the mesh as a Markovian field, produces quality unsupervised segmentation.
Image segmentation and cluster validation using stochastic approach
Master Dissertation
This work has carried out a study on stochastic models for segmentation and shows an implementation for the EM/MPM algorithm, together with a multiresolution approach. A new threshold-based scheme for the estimation of initial parameters for the EM/MPM model has been proposed. This work also shows how to incorporate the concept of annealing to the current EM/MPM algorithm in order to improve segmentation. Additionally, a study on the class validity problem (search for the correct number of classes) has been
