A Year In the Life
After taking a years worth of photos in 2010, I decided to take on an enormous project in my Communication of Design 1 class at LCAD. The project topic was infographics, a category that I have grown to love! I took all 365 photos and collected data from each such as date, time, city, state, people in it, categories, etc. After that huge portion of the project was completed, I designed 4 main infographs based on Time, Places, Categories and People. I created the infographs then put them all together in a huge exploding box, with a centerpiece mosaic of all 365 photos in the center. Then I took 12 of the most important/memorable photos, one for each month, printed them out and put their stories on the backs.
About Me
[login to view URL] I am Laura Mae, originally a Los Angeles/Orange County designer and now relocated to New York City. I'm a unique designer because of my creative work in print, film and new media. Recently I designed, developed, shot and edited a series of short films, stop action segments, accompanying print collateral and promoted it via new media. Combining my graphic design skills for print, film and media is what I do best. I am seeking a position with a creative team that uses strong graphic design sensibilities in combination with new media. Oh, and I am an incredible baker too...
