Collins Butchers Sausage Packaging
The brief was to created suitable packaging for two different types of sausages; Venison and Tou- louse for the fictional butchers; Collin’s Butchers Wexford. The products were a high end gourmet style meat containing different fillings and retailed for €7 for a box of six. I conducted market research and compiled two virtual customers both middle ages and main food shoppers in the house hold one male and the other female. They both expressed emphasis on nutrition and know- ing the origins of the meat, an important factor for a lot of people especially as health and nutritional is becoming more and more popular and people are being made more aware of healthy eating habits. I designed a wrap around and try for the packaging. I looked at a lot of high end and gour- met style packaging to help inspire my design. I scanned in recycled brown paper as the back- ground for my packaging and to try incorporate some texture. I designed the two quite similar with green and red distinguishing the
About Me
I am a recent Graphic Design Graduate living in Dublin, Ireland. I recently completed a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design at Ballyfermot College of Further Education. I am experienced in Corporate Identity, Web Design, Packaging, Illustration, Image Manipulation and Paper Craft. I have experience in creating my own HTML portfolio website and an interactive flash game for children. I have a very strong knowledge of Adobe software; Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Flash. I have six months experience working as part of the Production Team at Nothingless Photography a children's mobile photography studio. I was responsible for taking in large batches of images and preparing them for print. This included selection of appropriate images, colour correction, cropping, detail and skin retouching and final quality check before print.
