I have a really difficult time giving myself a job title, because as a small business owner I’m a part of all aspects of the job. When I work directly with clients I’m a producer. I work with them to develop the concept, budget, plan, write, film, edit and deliver the video. I fill many roles. However, when I work as a subcontractor for another media agency my role is usually limited to being an editor. I join their team of producers, creative directors, writers, etc. and focus my attention on a specific task. Regardless of what you call it, I create videos. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Science in Visual Communication Technology. I know that sounds strange, but what it means is that I learned a lot about both the creative and the technical aspects of visual media. I get to be a little bit artsy and a little bit of a computer geek. That education has become invaluable for our business and how we work with our clients. All in all, I’m a storyteller at heart and I really love using video to deliver that story.
