My passion for human potential started with my undergraduate studies at New College, the Honors School of the State of Florida, where I earned a BA in Sociology and Urban Studies. I went on to achieve an MA in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on organizational psychology at the University of Colorado. Since graduation, I have built a successful career in Human Resources. I started off in a multi-faceted, fast-paced staffing agency as a Recruiter and excelled in the position within a short period of time. I then served as the Recruitment Manager to a start-up financial firm and was promoted to HR Manager once the hiring phase was completed. Within this time, I recruited, hired, and on-boarded over fifty employees within all departments - Marketing, Finance, Administration, IT, Operations, and Sales. When the firm closed due to the failing economic climate, I moved into contract recruitment positions within the field of localization and instituted recruitment metrics and operations, while interviewing and hiring several individuals in IT, Sales, Account Management, Translation Operations, and Executive Support. Most recently, I have been working with Westwood College as a Career Counselor, assisting graduates in marketing themselves in the competitive field of Gaming through activities like resume reviews, portfolio development, interview analysis, and negotiation tips. It has been quite rewarding, as has my entire career path. I have a passion for identifying ways to stretch human capital and source new talent. Coupled with my excellence in collaboration, reporting, presentation, training, and organization, I have proven to be a valuable asset to my employers.
