Doppler

by ingridelin

Doppler is our first in-house game, self-published in August/September 2014, for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. Doppler is a simple addictive action game for touchscreen devices. Remember those wire loop games where you slowly guide a metal ring along a twisting wire and try not to touch it? This isn’t really a lot like that. That is where our inspiration came from though, we just decided to make it faster, tougher and with more particles. In Doppler you’re tasked with maintaining the charge of a line that twists and turns towards you. In an exciting take on touch screen controls you place one finger on either side to form a connection – let go, touch the line, or stray too wide, and you’ll lose charge; stay close and you get some back. That’s it. Hold on! Only absolute concentration will see the you get very far. Take your best time to the leaderboards and compete with friends to see who’s the best!

About Me

My main focus is games, but I'm also interested in other interesting projects, particularly involving new/emerging technology. I founded my own company 3 years ago to develop games/apps for clients and in-house. I've worked on a wide range of projects, from casual multi-platform mobile games to larger games for PC and consoles. Prior to going full time into games, I spent 5 years as an R&D programmer at Double Negative, one of Europe's largest and most successful VFX studios, earning credits on titles including Harry Potter, John Carter, and Paul. Due to my experience working in such a high pressure, production driven environment I'm used to delivering quality results under strict deadlines. Following Agile Development techniques has helped me develop a focused yet flexible approach, as well as excellent communication skills. I am highly proficient in the Unity game engine. I have a deep understanding of C# and Python, and I write tidy, concise, well commented, optimized code.
