NGO website translation extract - Portuguese to English
In 2014 I was asked to translated the website of a Brazilian NGO that focuses on environmental education for youngsters. This extract is from the home page which presents a brief outline of the NGO\\\'s history and purpose.\\nThe first page of the document is the original in Portuguese and the second is my translation in English.
About Me
I 27 years old, British and I speak fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French. I graduated from Manchester University with a joint honors degree in Spanish and Portuguese (2.1) and have studied translation and worked in Brazil, Argentina, France and Spain. I have translated many documents whilst living in these countries; my experience includes websites, business proposals, tourism publications and film subtitles. I have an excellent level of written English acquired through extensive reading and further enhanced by my qualification as a teacher of English as a foreign language.
