Companies that operate commercial motor vehicles (heavy vehicles) in interstate and intrastate commerce may find it difficult to understand the technical parts of the safety and hazardous materials regulations when operating those vehicles on the highway. This may include the preparation of IFTA and/or IRP documentation to be submitted to the different state jurisdictions. Southwest Carriers Service, LLC, will assist companies with those interpretations that are required by law and to assist them in the preparation of their IFTA and IRP documentation. This is accomplished by meeting with the client /carriers at their locations, or at a designated point that is mutually agreeable for each party. All records and files must be available during the meeting so that Southwest can conduct an in-depth audit so that Southwest can monitor their transportation operational progress. The same audit procedures, for the most part, are the same as those used by both State and Federal Agencies. Our main goal is to lower our client/carriers operating costs, and at that same time ensure they maintain safe and dependable vehicles, with qualified drivers, while operating on the public roads and the nation’s highways. This can only be accomplished by monitoring our client/carriers on an on going basis, and by monitoring their “safestat scores.”
