Having spent over 20 years working in local government finance I've recently taken a career diversion and am now working as a freelance writer, proofreader, copy-editor and copywriter. Am currently undertaking some formal training (online based) to rid myself of any bad habits I may have picked up in the confines of the Town Hall. So, in terms of experience, I've mainly spent my professional life writing formal reports, but have now done a fair bit of blogging and column writing for an independent football website. What I do consider a plus is I have enthusiasm, willingness to learn and energy in abundance. I hope, given the opportunity, to establish myself as a freelance writer who provides interesting, accurate and timely copy for a range of clients.
