VB.NET Programmer

Feb 2011 - Sep 2014 (3 years)

In this role I was responsible for maintaining, simulating and fixing bugs, developing small features, creating documentation (such as FAQs, trouble shootings), managing internal databases and supporting both customers and consultants of two different products, the first one was a Business Intelligence application, used to work with huge amounts of data creating high level reports. The product was built using objected oriented [login to view URL], SQL Server (SGDB and OLAP) and Open Edge Progress to collect data from the ERPs and transform it through ETL process. The second product was a strategic planning tool, much similar to Microsoft Excel, allowing the users to map information from several different data sources, to schedule calculations and updates and to create dynamic dashboards, it was also built using [login to view URL] and SQL Server. Both of the products had the deployment built using Inno Setup (Pascal) and TFS for source control.

VB6/VB.NET Developer

Jun 2006 - May 2010 (3 years)

Full development life cycle(waterfall) of an “off-the-shelve” sheet metal unfolding software and its 2D regular shapes nesting module. The product was developed using mainly structured VB6 and MySQL, each part has a distinct executable file that exchanges encrypted parameters with the main application, those executables would receive the part measurements and variables and deliver files containing 2D vectors and 3D vectors and faces and additional information about the part, such as indication of welding and bending lines, we also developed our own DXF writing DLL for exporting calculations and nesting plans to CAD. The licensing security was implemented using ROCKEY USB tokens, validating the license through all interactions. Deployment was developed with Inno Setup (Pascal) and 3D rendering was implemented using OpenGL/VB.NET. Also, some scripts for AutoCAD 2D point collection were made using LISP, for importing parts in some of the modules. All of the source and project files were version controlled using Subversion/TortoiseSVN. As it was a small company, I was also responsible for maintenance of all internal hardware\software etwork, including printer\email server, source control server, software licensing and infrastructure purchases.
