My experience includes writing cost analysis reports to estimate how much a construction project will cost. This requires excellent research skills due to the change in prices for materials and labor that take places regularly. Research is also needed to learn about all the state and local health and safety regulations associated with construction and to make sure the work is done according to all laws and regulations governing the area. I can make good sound judgment calls and explain the reasons for my decisions. For example, I can explain why sometimes using a cheaper company for the job is not a good idea because the materials they use or the work they provide is inferior and not in the best interest of the company. I have experience writing financial reports, preparing contracts and helping to create a budget for the job at hand. I have performed risk analysis and I have the ability to provide advice about a job and to make payment arrangements with contractors and suppliers.
