Pocket tablet - Master degree work
A project about why and how we have smartphones, how we use them and what the future is, resulting in a new product category, the Pocket tablet. The screen of a smartphone is the portal to a world of browsing, entertainment and communication. We see today that the computation power of the smartphones are increasing, and the possibilities are greater now than ever. But to surf the web, watch movies and take notes on a smartphone screen the size of your palm, is suboptimal in comparison to the a bigger device like a tablet. But how do you enlarge the device and still fit it into the pockets of the users? Much like the tablet closing the gap between laptop and the touchscreen smartphone, the result of my project, the pocket tablet, is a new product category. The pocket tablet is a concept combining emerging technology, the flexible OLED screen , and the big screen experience of the tablet with the mobility of the pocket sized smartphone.
