Daniel Bradberry is a freelance developer and a student of Digital Systems Engineering at the University of Southampton. Daniel has more than 5 years of experience within the information technology industry as a consultant, programmer and systems analyst. Daniel is studying Digital Systems Engineering at the University of Southampton, having recently completed a Part III project investigating the implications of adding complex interfaces to small, low-power microprocessors (namely Ethernet and the Atmel AVR). He has studied a wide range of topics including RTL and asynchronous logic design with the SystemVerilog HDL, computer architecture and networks. He has also undertaken many design projects including hardware devices, software systems and ASIC microchip design. In his spare time Daniel works as a freelance developer and has undertaken a number of projects for a diverse client base. He has undertaken projects in web design, eCommerce applications and SEO as well as the design and development of embedded systems. Daniel spent three years working in store for the Co-operative where he took on a number of functions including warehouse support, SBO and merchandising. He was asked to prepare the store for its million-pound refit and ensured that this transition was smooth despite the major works being undertaken. He previously was a Software Engineer for AutoQuake Ltd, a radical, new automotive sales company, where he was responsible for developing internal business systems and public-facing websites with new media technologies and a high standard of design and usability. With a firm grasp of the industry and a thirst for new technologies, Daniel helped to establish the company as a market leader in used car sales. AutoQuake has raised £14 million in venture capital. Daniel is interested in web development, embedded systems and any cool technology. He is enthusiastic about good HCI, well-designed software and *nix-based platforms. He is a forward thinker and not afraid to push technologies to their limit.
