Illustration - "Here Are You"
Here Are You (2010) - Ye-in Shin Media: recycled paper, colour pens, watercolour pencils, marker, watercolour, oil pastel and pencil on watercolour paper. This was one of my university illustration assignments. This assignment was to explore my place, draw things that caught my eyes and develop my drawings to a poster as a final outcome. I live in Kumeu, one of the rural areas in Auckland. I wandered around this place and drew abandoned old man-made things like a bus stop where no one uses anymore, old barn, water tanks, rusty drain, abandoned furnitures etc with everyday new nature. I wanted to contrast the old man-made things to the everyday new nature so I used the recycled paper for the man-made things. The brown and grey colour and rough texture of the paper match with the old and abandoned things. I used watercolour and watercolour pencil and vivid colour for the nature to make it look fresh, alive and new.
About Me
I am able to do illustration with a variety of media. I possess knowledge of Adobe products - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Maya. I am attentive to details and task driven and self-motivated. I have excellent organisation skills and I feel that these skills and strengths will be beneficial for your project if I am employed.
