LIGHTHOUSE SEA HOTEL SYRACUSE
The competition focused on making the most of an abandoned lighthouse near Syracuse, Sicily, and its valuable location and proximity to the sea to create dream-like accommodation able to reinvent the ancient lighthouse and reverse its degradation process.Our entry concentrates on a collection of buildings that rise out of the rough stone landscape, arranged to function like a tightly knit town, forming a complex composition of architectural elements. Having the quiet emptiness of a village, where silence becomes an architectural tool, it evokes the intimacy and social functionalism of the traditional Mediterranean townscapes. The units are characteristically to the Mediterranean village, simple with small punched openings providing shelter from the harsh rays of the sun. The buildings and urban elements are linked via walkways to rock gardens and simple clear water pools, allowing the inhabitants to move from the inside to the open freely, never mixing the two realms.
About Me
As a young dynamic and ambitious architect, with experience in architectural design, I have exceptional skills and experience in planning, detailing, designing and coordinating projects both in the public and private sectors. My training in architecture has taught me that the true value of a design is found in its details, so taking this teaching to heart also helped me gain experience in the field of graphic design, logo design, brochure, poster and business card design. my experience is expansive, unique and focused in every varying project, holding high standards to all my projects and under the pressure of a deadline, the ideal result will never be compromised. My extensive architecture training combined with strong graphic skills and design and development flair needed to plan, coordinate and be involved in all phases of an architectural project, will allow me to immediately add value to any task presented.
