Topic I –
Cold Truth of Warm Winter:
You would have heard about Global warming, here you can find some details about it. Global Warming is nothing but the average increase in temperature in earth's core surface. An aboriginal proverb says that "We didn't inherit the world from our forefather; we borrow it from our children." Change is the need of hour, the startling realization of the hard facts of Global Warming has made the world community to wake up to the grim reality. Many countries are having the warmest winter ever, the snow hasn't turned up in Russia this year, if this is a sign of things to come, and the future looks really bleak. The Time has come for the self-centered superpowers to make amends for their acts of greed and ignorance. We have exploited Mother Nature and we have fed on her to satisfy our voracious appetite, we have committed the Sir of Gluttony. When our Mother Nature is hurt and angry at that situation, if we don't cool her down soon; a hot wet doom awaits us. Global warming phenomenon seems to be affecting many sectors, especially it sparks food crisis. Many countries are facing the warmest winters; all these climatic changes have affected the production of many crops. Farmers across the world have been affected. In the future it is more likely that the whole world will face a major food crisis. The scientist say that this can be tackled in two ways, one it is to prevent it before happening but it seems unlikely. The next is to adapt to the change in the temperatures. We should develop crops which are able to adapt themselves to the temperature. But it takes a long time for the crops to adapt themselves to the temperature. The speed at which the climate is changing is more rapid so the crops may not be able to change quickly. Some scientists believe that more hype is given to this problem. The nature will find a way in adapting to the climate changes. The credibility of the claims of climatic change causing a food crisis is questioned many in the international circle. But the recent estimates of crop produce across the world have clearly shown that there has been 30% reduction in the maize and rice production due to the rise in temperature. So it’s important that everyone should play a role in preventing or at least slowing the speed at which the climate changes.
Topic II –
Spirit of science:
In the past fifty years science has grown to unfathomable heights. They have certainly dictated the life style of the people. They have brought un believable transformation to the people's way of living. We the people have embraced it; we have basked in the glory of the science. Science is quite certain to shape our future as well. Science has made our lives simple and filled with luxury. But are we forgetting some thing? Science has made its fare share of mistakes as well. We can forgive them for these mistakes. But why are we so severe on spiritualism. We have been forgiving with it. We have been quick to find faults with spiritualism. Spiritualism has been the science of the past. The past has grown with spiritualism. It is very important that we preserve spiritualism. Through spiritualism our ancestors have acquired the knowledge that is so vital today. When we compare science and spiritualism it is very clear. Spiritualism has given humanity than science. Science has in the past and in the future has found out things which have already been told by spiritualism. So it is very important that we should not do away with spiritualism and totally believe in science. Science has questioned about spiritualism in the past. In many cases the spiritualism has proved its authenticity to science. Science is still in its earlier stages. But spiritualism has been there for many centuries. So its very imperitive that we give spiritualism it’s due of respect. In the future if science and spiritualism work together then science can grow quicker and we will be benefited. Many people in several countries have realized the capability of the spiritualism and have been able to benefit from it. So if science and spiritualism can work together then there will be a cohesive environment, then science will not make those mistakes that it has done in the future.
Topic III –
Racism refusing to die out:
In this day and age one would think that racism is the thing of the past. Globalization is in full swing these days, it would impossible for any one to think that one can be racist. The society has been more and more inclusive these days. People are becoming more and more open minded. People are becoming more accepting. Its things like these that are would have convinced that racism has been put to death. But now and then around the world racism is still raisins its ugly head. It refuses to die down. There has been incidents which have taken place around the world which has confirmed that racism is still there, but not like in the previous century. But racism is simply not acceptable in any form or in any magnitude. For a society to thrive there is no place for racism. There has been wide spread realization about the evils of racism. All the countries in the world are working to make racism a thing of the past. But when we are rest assured that racism has died out, an incident occurs which can be racists. So there is still work to be done by the governments around the world to put an end to the racism to once and for all and make the world peaceful place.
