Currently application is in production and issues around 1 million rewards per month • Used J2EE (JMS/EJB/Struts,XML,XSL,XSD) , Microstrategy java interface for data mining, Rational Rose for UML modeling, Weblogic 8.1, JUnit July 2002 – April 2003 The Loyalty Group Technical Solution Architect (contract) STAR8/9 project • Design and implementation of multi tier application (using Struts,JMS,EJB,XML,XSL,XSD) for marketing campaign management • Architecture and development of JMS based workflow framework • Lead and mentor team of 4 in successful implementation of project • Project delivered 30 times speedup shortening time to deliver campaign from weeks to few hours (campaign can have few million collectors) • System is in production and up to date it created over 30000 marketing segments and is capable of generating 36 million collectors record per hour • Used Rational Rose for UML modeling,Weblogic 7-8, J2EE , JUnit March 2002- June 2002 PRI Automation Java integration architect (contract) • Design and development of the server side Java components for workflow integration in the semiconductor facilities utilizing Tibco rendezvous and BEA MQ • Defining and designing components interaction and developing XML communication protocol for the material tracking system and the equipment • Used Rational Rose for UML design January 2002- March 2002 The Loyalty group Senior J2EE consultant (contract) • Finalized detail design and architecture of the 3-tier application (struts, EJB, XML) for Campaign management. Used Rational Rose for diagrams and XML Spy for the XML mapping. • Defined XML workflow horizontally between components in the tier and vertically between tiers to achieve maximum flexibility • Developed all back end EJB components (Session, Entity EJB and DAO objects) for the application September 2001 – January 2002 PRI Automation Java/Tibco Architect (contract) • Architected and designed java integration solution for the automated semi-conductor production lines. The solution involved tight integration between products from the multiple vendors using the java workflow engine to achieve synchronization of events between equipment. Tibco rendezvous is used as a bus for the data flow. The solution utilized P2P and publish subscribe models of delivering the data. The design is done in UML with Rational Rose. • Used Tibco/Rendezvous as messaging bus for connecting MES equipment via Java proxy to the database system. Designed Rendezvous based java connector for unsolicited and P2P messages from equipment to the MES system. Designed structure of XML messages for the protocol - DTDs. Defined structure of the subjects and topics for the Rendezvous messages and designed mapping to the action handlers. The XML messages were parsed using DOM parser. • Introduced a new concept, command execution engine, which acts as scripting language for describing automation processes • The solution uses different sets of equipment and can interface with any equipment via plug-ins provided in the framework architecture. This flexibility is achieved by reusing the GOF patterns (Factory, State, Command and Proxy). My primary responsibility was to design reusable OO framework for the product so it will be possible to use JMS/Rendezvous as message transport layer. July 2000 – September 2001 Red Celsius Inc. Java Architect/Team Lead (contract) • Re-architected e-commerce B2B framework to be modular, event driven with conditional paths of execution and to follow MVC pattern. The framework is highly customizable with plug-in components, enabling high flexibility of the underlying business logic. Current framework is used in production at [login to view URL]. Deployment was done in the cluster environment. • Used role based security in EJB container to enforce proper rights of usage • Used Rational Rose/UML for use cases, state diagrams and class design • Senior member of the team which delivered Internet B2C 3-tier pilot solution for GM in just 90 days and generated approximately 10 million USD in revenues • Working on high traffic B2B & B2C e-commerce internet product utilizing JSP, EJB and Java enterprise solutions on BEA Weblogic application server • Design parts of the application for dynamic presentation of the web pages using JSP/XML/XSL and EJB to represent current customer preferences regarding the language and chosen profile. This was accomplished by using factory and command pattern in the Model-View-Controller (MVC) based framework. • Used XML and XSLT for data transfer between partners (B2B) and presentation of data collections and compositions to the clients (B2C) for the greatest flexibility of the client presentation layer. Usage of XML enabled generation of the customized HTML based on the same data source without changing application business logic. • Designing and writing of the data access objects and EJBs to access Oracle database using the meta database layer and JDBC.
