Enquiries Management System
A small engineering firm specializing in design & installation of fire protection systems, access control systems and CCTV solutions used individual Excel workbooks to create custom proposals in response to customers making enquiries about product offerings. At the end of each financial year, they would have to manually open each Excel file to figure out the ratio of successful job awards to enquiries. This manual effort would often require 400 to 600 manhours and was prone to errors. They needed an Access-based solution, but first they had to convert all their existing Excel data to Access I reviewed the client's requirements and wrote an Excel VBA code to automate transfer of relevant data in the excel files to Access (2 days).
