A Twisted Fairytale
The client required something \"dark, twisted yet simple\". The production is an adaptation of popular fairytales including cinderella, snow white, hansel and gretel and little red riding hood. An alternative twist on the classic tales - Cinderella was a diva who bullied her sisters instead of the vulnerable innocent girl that we know.\n\nWith no further specifications on the design I was given full creative freedom to design something that I thought had the right effect whilst still being commercially viable and not too \"twisted\" for the children\'s parents. An earlier design included the word twisted in a blood red but it was too much for a production of this nature.\n\nThe design is quite simply inspired by a front cover of a fairytale, the worn cover represents the alternative nature of the production, hidden away and only recently recovered. The choice of typeface gives the design a scrapbook effect, almost like the original fairytale stories in their true na
