Formerly known as Bisys, this company is the result of CITI’s acquisition of Bisys in 2007. Most of the work involved is geared towards integrating Bisys to CITI main stream technologically. Most of the applications at Bisys are legacy applications written primarily in Microsoft Access/ VB/ Excel spread sheets. Our team’s goal is to identify the potential risk in continuing to use these applications and convert them to a secure scalable n-tier web based model. Some of the projects I’m involved with are as follows: 1) Managed Wrapper for SunGard OLE Server: This project involves writing a WCF Service as a wrapper for the SunGard’s COM+ based Server application. 2) 12B1 Payments Application: Conversion of an Access/VB application into an n-tier .NET 3.5 Web Application. LINQ to SQL, Lambda Expressions have been used extensively in this application reducing the turnaround time drastically. 3) File Extract Application: This project involves converting an Access based Excel data generator application to a .NET based console application that can take in a configuration xml file and use the previous Managed wrapper to connect to SunGard and generate the data in a user specified format. Technologies/Environment: .NET Framework 3.5, SQL Server 2005/ 2000, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), ACTUATE, Windows 2003 Server, Subversion, Microsoft Visio 2007, LINQ(Language Integrated Query) to SQL, LINQ to XML, Lambda Expressions, Anonymous delegates February 2005 - December 2007 OhioHealth, Columbus, OH ([login to view URL]) Title: Senior Consultant through SoftQuest Technologies Role: Architect / Technical Project Management OhioHealth is a Healthcare Provider managing many of the biggest hospitals in Central Ohio. OhioHealth manages the end to end operations of the hospitals under its belt including Healthcare systems, Information Systems and Labs, Radiology, Cardiology, Registration etc. • OhioHealth Results Browser (ORB): ORB is a web application portal with dependencies on many other homegrown class libraries allowing physicians and caregivers to view patient information in Real Time. ORB is used by 15,000 medical care professionals on a daily basis from the many different hospital facilities in and around Central Ohio. My work touches all sides of the domain including capturing user stories, developing interfaces using hl7 tools like Neo-Tools, database design and development, .net application development. We use Cloverleaf as the primary interface software and the HL7 messages from the various Healthcare systems like McKesson and GE are handled first by Cloverleaf and then by Neo Integrate/ Neo Tools. We use Cloverleaf as a failure recovery system as well, where in we rerun the messages for the specific interface for the specific dates when any of our system/vendor systems failed. For more granular control, Neo Integrate is being used where HL7 messages are parsed and filtered and validated before going into SQL 2005 storage. • Wireless Peri Operative Patient Tracker: Using the .NET Compact framework, the wireless patient tracker was implemented on HP handheld devices (PDA’s) written in C#/VB.NET. This was a windows smart client application used for patient tracking to aid the attending physicians/nurses to get Real Time rounding lists of their patients in the pre-op area. They can also drill down the patient info and view and edit diagnostic details. All the communication/data transfer was encrypted using a 128-bit SHA1 encryption algorithm. • Compliance Checker Web Service/Test Client Application: Compliance checker is a web service developed to facilitate the generation of Advanced Beneficiary Notices (ABN) to customers before a treatment is being authorized. An ABN notifies the customer of what treatments/procedures are covered for what kind of disease/ diagnosis and if not covered, how much would it cost for the customer to still get the procedure done. Environment: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 / 1.1, .NET Compact Framework 2.0 / 1.0, ASP.NET, HL7, C#.NET, VB.NET, Cloverleaf, Neo Integrate from Neo-Tools, HTTPWatch, Fiddler 2, dotTrace, CLR Profiler, Microsoft Application Center Test (ACT), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Team Suite for Developers, Visual Studio 2005 / 2003, SQL Server 2005, 2000, SQL Profiler/Trace, Visual SourceSafe 6.0, Active Reports 2.0, Active Reports Charting component, Chart FX 6.2, Dot Net Nuke Portal Framework, IIS 6.0 /5.1, Windows 2003 / 2000 Server, Windows XP Professional as developer work stations, Windows Pocket PC 2002 February 2008 - March 2008 Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Columbus, OH Role: Senior Consultant through SoftQuest Technologies The ODE Commodities Allocation and Tracking system program is designed to manage State school programs like National School Lunch program, School Child Care program,.. etc. The ODE Commodities Allocation and Tracking system is currently written as a back office application using Visual FoxPro and FoxPro database. Our goal is to convert this application into an n-tier .NET based web application using .NET Framework 2.0(Visual Studio 2005) and SQL Server 2005 as the back end relational database.
