Happiest City in America, is not immune to a random act of violence. The great city of Lafayette, terrific festivals, a unique culture, and not to mention delicious crawfish boudin, and the wonderful people whom are immensely inviting and friendly. Happiness is the most beautiful gift we are given in this life, one that can never be taken away from us. In many ways the people of Lafayette collectively represent each of us...altruistic, cultural, hospitable, creative, family- oriented, happy, hunters, fisherman, foodies..a city with a really nice sense of community, everything that is embedded in Louisiana. Unfortunately, even happy places have to be reminded that there is staggering hopelessness in the world. Deep, unrelenting tribulation. For the families of the victims, many hearts are absolutely ruptured. These are days when many people may refuse to get out of bed, a lack of joy, or light, or even feeling life in any piece of themselves.
