I started working in the field of computer graphic design in 1985. Living in Phoenix, Arizona I learned digital design, then continued to a direct mail house into the early 90's. Moving back to my home town in the mid 90's, Amarillo, Texas, I was the main designer and pre-press coordinator for a couple of printing companies. Learning about paper stocks, print layout for the press, and how to correct agency files to make them print, For the last six years, I have worked full time as an Art Director for APLX Advertising; direct mail, newspaper and magazine ads, specialty printing, outdoor boards, web design, and TV graphics. We focused on automotive advertising for Auto Inc.'s dealerships in the State of Texas. I have worked with the Team at Symphony One since June 2009 while living in Chandler, AZ. Developing and learning from those on the Team, recreating a directory site 3 times over and separate HOA sites. Working in Joomla, we have changed in and out components and modules learning from every step. This web development is part time and on-going. Currently developing the yellow page directory sites for the Houston, TX area through Best Publications on a part time basis. Hosting and web development for 3 years. Specialties: Design experience spans 25 years. Currently, designing in Adobe Creative Suite CS2, CS3 & CS4. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, Dreamweaver Flash and Joomla. Previous applications: Pagemaker and Quark Xpress for many years in the printing industry, but has preferred InDesign. Proficient in Mac and PC.
