I am a certified medical interpreter in Washington State, with experience translating a wide variety of document types and themes. "New" to the site after a dozen years working in education and doing language work through word of mouth and referrals. Recent clients and projects include a local food bank, a cancer education program, a nonprofit educating communities about butterfly preservation, research study consent forms, cooking lessons, and interview transcripts for a social services project. I love the challenge of new fields and formats! I have also done some SEO work and blog writing/translating (through this site), though it has been a while. I hold a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Foreign Languages and Literatures: Spanish. I lived in Mexico for over six years and so my knowledge of the language is both academic and "real world"; I also have an extensive network of contacts I can reach out to, to help with localization questions. I enjoy doing research, writing, editing, proofreading - anything having to do with language, basically. I am totally fluent in Spanish, especially and obviously the Mexican variety. Being bilingual - at this point, practically bicultural - is enriching not only professionally, but personally - I'm almost never at a loss for words! It is a real pleasure for me to be able to competently translate texts, knowing that not only is my language accurate, but the cultural context is, too. I look forward to working with you on your project. I encourage you to contact me if you would like references, samples, or simply have a question about my background. I take pride in doing my work to the highest standard and promise to do my best for you.
Excellent. High quality work that was completed on time. Cassandra put a lot of effort in and I would happily hire her again. A pleasure to work with.
