I was one of the Top 36 Candidates for a National Competition for the best Shopping Bag Design for a High-end Bookstore. Artistic Statement for Bag Designs The bag designs are inspired by the actual process of purchasing a book from Exclusive Books. It is a commonly accepted fact that what we read influences our viewpoints, educates us and in the end defines who and what we are instead of just being readers and buying books on a regular basis. A barcode has quite a unique number which represents and identifies the item being purchased, in this case obviously a book or assortment of books. Each time a book being bought is scanned, the unique barcode is captured and if one were to just scan an assortment of books one after the other, without intermediate processing, all of the unique barcode numbers appear together as one large number. Thus each time a book is bought and scanned in, a customer metaphysically contributes to his/her unique "number". Although customers at E
