PDF Extract to Excel
Client had 100's of pages of PDF documents containing data in a specific format which he required to be in Excel. The data was contained within tables, with not all fields populated so a simple PDF to Text conversion would not be possible. Using location based extraction techniques, a VB.NET application was developed to accurately produce an output file, regardless of whether all fields in the table were present. Added some features, that I felt my client would find useful. The ability to convert multiple files at once, by browsing using a file dialog or 'drag and drop' from windows explorer, the ability to output all converted files to a single Excel document, and dual progress bars to display the current files progress, as well as the overall progress of a multi file conversion.
