Borrowing the drape from Parrhasius, these images complicates the domestic pinup portrait by turning backdrop into barrier; challenges the notions of the erotic and fetishistic; and blurs the line between public and private space. The legs and upward carefree lethargy of her hands became furniture or objects in space where the absence of presence provoke abdominal sequences.
About Me
Hi my name is Cage, I'm currently in my final year studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts at AUT University majoring in Photography and Performativity. I have five years technical experience with Photoshop and Lightroom formalities & my work has also been exhibited across New Zealand my last exhibition was at ST Paul Street Gallery. I currently run a business engineering movie props for cinematic and private commissions some of which include Evil Dead and Nightmare on Elm Street.
