My Personal Portfolio
When making my personal portfolio the main goal was to create a beautiful website that would stand out among my competitors, showcase my skills and tell a story about who I am personally! The research stage allowed me to get a general idea of my competition, the average user, and how I could stand out. I identified that my typical user would be searching through many profiles so I had to make mine stand out immediately. I also noticed that my competition made the fatal mistake of neglecting to add personality in their portfolios. This left them to appear unapproachable. I applied these insights in the design process by planning for a large header with a color palette that would stand out. Through out the website I focussed on simple design that would allow my personal written content to stand out and create an enjoyable user experience. *A portfolio setup while I was in high school and learning website development. What a memory... I am a front-end website developer with skills in website design, user experience design, SEO, and front-end web optimization. While I have many skills and abilities that aid my development such as a branding, and marketing, I focus on quality over quantity. This means deeply applying only the skills you need for the success of your project. I am well known for my strength in communication. I firmly believe that communication is key when working as a freelancer. You will receive consistent updates, descriptions with deliverables, and video meetings if requested. My technical skills include HTML, CSS, JavaScript and I have a good grasp of PHP. I am also familiar with Sass, jQuery, Gulp, and Github, and Foundation.
