I have led and developed numerous Ruby on Rails applications for start-ups and large corporations. With a keen interest in emerging technologies, I have also contributed to many open source projects, including open source book. Before founding Bit Zesty Ltd, I have worked for a leading Ruby on Rails consultancy in London for two years and hold a BSc in Computer Science from the University of York. Bit Zesty built numerous features including integration with popular web services (APIs) - Flickr, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube. Scholastic [login to view URL] An e-commerce site for teachers. I have integrated the social media tools such as social bookmarking, forums and blogs as well as a complex discount system. Teepay [login to view URL] An e-commerce site which combines user submitted designs with a voting and ordering system, with ability to send t-shirt into print with guaranteed orders pending. Bit Zesty built the order processing back-end and helped to clear their bug backlog and speedup their Rails application. Tweetarium [login to view URL] A twitter application which helps to manage twitter stream. Bit Zesty created all the functionality of this Ruby application and are responsible for the UI. Five [login to view URL] A tv show micro site. I helped with video integration and product review feature. Amnesty International IS I built two intranet applications: a strategic planning application with a budgeting and reporting system and a branch and personnel directory. Rapid Prototype for a funded start-up Flash base site, with a REST Ruby on Rails API. I have developed a photo management application with social network elements.
