Caliyon - Culture tracking mobile App
The idea of this project was to build a native android app to define a work culture of companies. To achieve this I had to build following components: - Backend with RESTful web services to handle the data exchange between the mobile app and an oracle database. - Admin site for administration purposes. - Android Mobile app. The project was developed with Java Enterprise Technology and Spring/MVC/REST framework. The database is an Oracle 12c container. As Webserver I set up the Apache http-server 2.4 and as Application Container the Apache Tomcat 8. The complete system is hosted on AWS/S2/RDS.
About Me
German Senior Software Engineer, B.Sc. degree in Mathematics, with 25+ years experience in developing high-quality software solutions. Actually, I'm focusing on Java Enterprise development, MVC pattern, RESTful Web Services and cloud computing solutions. Modern front-end development using bootstrap, HTML5, JavaScript and JQuery. Highly maintainable and testable back-end development with Spring/MVC pattern. For hosting I'm working with the highly scalable Amazon Web Service cloud solutions. Planning and defining system architecture, setting up the entire system (database server, application server, mail server, ...) and handling performance issues (DB-Pooling and Loadbalancing).
