Career Experiences 2005-Now Avan Software Technology Advisors, Tehran, Iran, [login to view URL] Senior Software Architect and Software Project Manager Projects Involved: * WiSE GFaces: WiSE GFaces is a creative approach towards providing a framework for runtime software development based on Java and JEE technologies. Inspired from JSF, GFaces is a method for immediately running descriptive snippets of software taking advantage of a completely generic runtime backend empowered with Java server technologies and Groovy. At the heart of UI, there is a facility to describe the application UI using descriptive standard extensions such as XUL or Open Laszlo. Descriptive and runtime development is totally based on the concept not to interfere with server functionality of an already-developed enterprise application in which the whole process of UI description, data modeling and binding, rendering UI, executing UI, validation and business functionality are all handled runtime. * ZRM: Citizenship Relationship Management (ZRM) systems are the next level of CRM systems that are significant to citizen-related services across many countries around the world. ZRM in its nature requires being dispersedly available, robust and responsive. We directed a series of development branches to create a multi-faceted architecture for both rich client development and server side administration services development. The rich client development is based on WiSE GWT that is an MVC framework based on GWT and taking advantage of JEE server technologies as its backend. The server side development is based on WiSE Core and WiSE Portal©. Apart from architectural concerns, ZRM is substantially faced with many deployment issues such as replication, offline functionality and performance. * Portal©: Portal application is an infrastructure and an application orchestrator whose mission has been to the day to deliver six significant services to a set of enterprise applications planned to be used online throughout the country as a total solution: Central Authentication Service (SSO), Central Authorization Mechanism, UI Integration Framework, Single-Point Logging Mechanism, Unified Web Services Framework, and Central Task Scheduling Services. * SMSC© O&M Reporting Framework: SMSC O&M is a large-scale web application used by telecommunication service providers to operate and maintain their messaging services. As information was central to the services, the application required an extensively reconfigurable framework to generate graphical informational reports based on the data flows in the operational system. * Paperless Examination System (e-Test): A web application for online examination with the ability to deliver the equivalent paperless services as of its paper-based peer such as registration, examination, score reporting, and statistical reports. 2005-Now Aptech International Training Center, Tehran, Iran Java Trainer * Software Development on Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) * Java Programming Language * JEE Technologies: Spring Framework, Hibernate and Apache MyFaces Open Source Trainer and Group Leader * Unix-based operating systems: RedHat Fedora Core and Ubuntu * Web Development, Administration and Configuration: Apache HTTPD Web Server * AMP Software Development: Apache/MySQL/PHP or Perl 2006-2007 Fanap IT (affiliated with Pasargad Bank of Iran), Tehran, Iran, [login to view URL] Senior Software Architect and Software Engineer Project Involved: Pasargad Insurance Information System: As one of the leading banks of Iran, Pasargad has decided to deliver insurance services to its customers. For such a large-scale information system consistent of several web applications, there exist architectural-level concerns to deal with: Design and implementation of a core model-driven architecture, Model and implement a software product line and code generator based on model-driven architecture, Establish and firm a set of standards and disciplines for application developers. 2004-2005 Data and Informatics Organization of Municipality of Tehran, Tehran, Iran Software Engineer and Research Engineer Research Areas: * Software process tailoring, customization and standardization based on a mixture of heavy-weight processes (Rational Unified Process) and light-weight ones (Extreme Programming) * Adoption of a software development framework for a large organization based on a survey of .NET based frameworks and JEE frameworks * A survey on a set of required specifications for quality assurance of software applications developed in a large organization 2002-2004 Research Institute of Petroleum Industry of Iran, Tehran, Iran Software Developer of GeoPars, a Reservoir Modeling System, in a team of about fifty developers and various scientists Technical Expertise WiSE GFaces * A runtime description-based software development framework that allows runtime description and execution of a UI snippet that has been written through XUL or Open Laszlo. WiSE GFaces is inspired from JSF and tries to include phases as UI description, UI rendering, UI execution, data model binding, data validation and business functionality. It takes advantage of MVC pattern over a generic data model to provide all the data model requirement described in UI. ZRM * WiSE GWT: an MVC framework based on GWT providing a platform to develop software application with heavy data modeling that includes data binding and validation. The framework provides facilities of its common server-side peers in addition to AJAX feature introduced by GWT. Portal© Application and Framework * CASifying Java EE software applications for SSO authentication * Design and implementation of a Unix-like model-based central authorization framework based on Spring Security Framework formerly as Acegi Security * Design and implementation of an XML-oriented web-based menu generation framework for the purpose of UI integration of a set of independent JEE web applications * Design and development of a framework to facilitate the process of Web Service exposure and usage heavily based on Spring Framework and XFire * Design and development of a remote scheduling service based on Spring Framework and Quartz SMSC© O&M * Design and implementation of an XML-based report generation framework based on Spring Framework and JFree Total Insurance Information System * Analysis and design of an MDA specification for the software code generation of the system * Development and test of architecture models, pattern and templates for software code generation based on Groovy and Velocity * Design and implementation of a simple page-flow framework based on Spring Framework Miscellaneous * Contextor: Design and implementation of a Data/Web Mining software focusing on data loading and extraction, filtering and deciding terms of data, applying various mining methods on extracted data, building different forms of statistical information on the data extracted, [login to view URL] * JellyJ: Design and implementation of an OO programming language for novice programmers named “Jelly”, [login to view URL] * PHP Development: Design and development of an OO based MVC framework for application development on PHP, [login to view URL] * Web Standards: CSS, AJAX, XML, XSL * Unix-like operating systems administration and networking * Language Skills, English: Writing: Advanced; Speaking: Almost Fluent.
