Westgate AG are a real estate acquisition and management company based in Switzerland - I was asked to redesign their website and bring it up to date. I was given a specific brief of how they wanted the site to look by being asked to copy a site they had seen, rather than copy it in its entirety I took design cues from the site in question and created a stylish look that better reflected how they wanted to be perceived by their clients. Using Zurb Foundation the site is fully responsive, the site is aimed at a wide European client base and so is translated into several languages. I used the CodeIgniter framework in order to make the site user experience simple and so it is easy to switch languages when necessary. The way CodeIgniter handles languages means the site is fully search engine indexable no matter what language is chosen.
About Me
I'm a web designer and php developer with on the job experience going back to 2008 (although I started programming in my spare time long before that). I previously worked in the games industry creating landing pages, mini-sites, blogs, custom CMS and ecommerce stores (Magento). I especially enjoy responsive design using Zurb Foundation and focus on ease of use and site loading speed (which Google loves). Responsive design means your website looks just as good on mobile as it does on larger screens. I have experience in html, css, javascript (jQuery), responsive design (Zurb Foundation) As well as front-end design I also code in Php and have experience with CodeIgniter, Phalcon and also MySQL databases.
