I am an American MBA student who formerly worked in corporate finance and in operations for a Fortune 25 company. In 2009, I resigned from my position as a Business Intelligence Consultant to obtain a full time MBA in Europe. For the summer of 2010, I had an offer to work as a Senior Financial Analyst for my dream company in London, but I just learned that I was not granted my UK work visa (with unemployment high, they don't want to give their best jobs to Americans). With no time to begin a job search for the summer, I have decided to offer my skills and services to the world of freelancer.com. In terms of data and computing, I am a power user of Microsoft Excel, Office, and Power Point. Aside from being proficient at building and optimizing financial models and databases, I have extensive experience employing Six Sigma and statistical methodologies to perform complex data analysis. I am also a native English speaker and a strong Spanish speaker. I have built and presented impactful Power Point presentations (normally presenting the results of my data analysis) for upper management teams in some of the largest international corporations. These communication skills have been reinforced by my hobbies of blogging and fiction writing. Beginning June 10, 2010 I plan to start bidding. At least initially, I intend to offer my services for practically free in order to establish credibility. While I do hope to earn some money through freelancer.com, I am more interested in becoming familiar with this format and in keeping my mind active during the summer. Thank you
