Low cost and high energy efficiency offices.
The program of this rental property is composed of offices on its first two levels and a residential loft on its last one. This programmatic and commercial concept was formulated with an end-user in mind: a young and single entrepreneur. A young man or woman who doesn’t have the economic resources to buy a house yet and who also needs to rent an office to work on his start-up business. \n\nIndustrial materials were used to lower costs of the building in order to offer an accessible product for the profile of this end-user. This building grants freedom and self-sufficiency to its tenant.\n\n\n The main challenge in this project was achieving an ample, fresh and naturally illuminated office space.\n\nOur client’s requirement was to design a project that would cover the whole footprint of the lot on three levels. This resulted on a building with walls next to the property limits. The building regulations of the zone prohibits placing windows on walls that are next to neighbor lots. Win
