El Departamento de investigaciones BLHAST del Observatorio Astronómico Nacional (Universidad Nacional) requería una identidad sólida en cuanto a su objetivo principal: estudio de los agujeros negros y la teoría de cuerdas (de ahí su nombre: Black Holes And String Theory). Gracias a la evolución visual del logo-símbolo se ha logrado una diferenciación notoria de éste ante otros departamentos de investigación del Observatorio.
